Kayak Tours > Medium Adventure Kayaking > Jerusalem BayJerusalem BayPatonga Village onto Brisk Bay, across the Hawkesbury River into Cowan Creek past Eleanor Bluffs, Fisherman's Beach, Little Shark Rock Point and into Jerusalem Bay - wow!Yet another spectacular paddle beginning at the isolated fishing village of Patonga. Just how many can there be! We paddle out onto Brisk Bay, the remains of the ocean swell pulsing under us, along past Juno Point. These names, taken from ships of long ago, have very interesting histories - some happy, some tragic. We then head across the expanse of the Lower Hawkesbury/Broken Bay until we come to the entrance of Cowan Creek - what a misnomer! Some say this “creek” is more reminiscent of the fjords of Norway, with it’s stunning cliffs and peaks tumbling down into the waterways! On we glide, finally reaching Jerusalem Bay - to a view reserved most often for the ambitious walkers who brave the long trek into this remote, spectacular area. Time for lunch, and a relax along with a wonderful refreshing swim. This is a very hard place to leave and on more than one occasion we have had a “peaceful mutiny”, forcing us to stay a while longer! Finally it’s back to Patonga with the breathtaking views out to sea toward Lion Island (yet another tour) to tease you into a future paddle. Category: Medium Adventure Open Water Tours What to Bring
