Paddle and Saddle Adventures

Trips departing Glenworth Valley offer paddlers the opportunity to explore the unspoilt wilderness of Popran Creek as it meanders its way through Glenworth Valley. As we glide down Popran Creek you can choose to either explore the peaceful upper reaches of Mangrove Creek or head down stream onto the magnificent Hawkesbury River system.

Upon your return to Glenworth Valley, jump in the saddle of one of our 200 quality horses, which allows us to cater for the exact needs of all riders. Our friendly staff will select a horse to suit your riding ability, from gentle horses for nervous beginners to more challenging horses for the experienced riders. Individual instruction is given to all riders prior to departure and roving supervisors are on hand to assist riders if required.

You can either go kayaking in the morning and horse riding in the afternoon or do one activity each day. After your kayaking trip why not take some time out to enjoy yourself and camp the night on the banks of Popran Creek. There are over 200 acres of secluded river front camping spots to choose from with some locations offering fishing from right in front of your tent.

What to Bring

For Kayaking

• A Water Bottle, one litre in size.
• Camera
• Swim Suit & Towel & a change of clothes in case you get wet
• Sun Hat and Sunscreen & Clothing to protect you from the sun
• Sun Glasses
• Footwear - suitable to get wet
• A jumper in the cooler months

  For Horse Riding

• Long pants
• Enclosed footwear such as boots with a small heel or sports shoes
• Sunscreen

Weather

In most cases, rain does not present a problem. If in doubt, please call the office as early as you like on the morning of the tour. We reserve the right to alter the tour locations or lengths if safety or comfort issues dictate.

A minimum number of four adults are required, in most cases, for the tour to proceed and Ocean Planet reserves all rights to cancel or reschedule the activity if numbers do not meet the minimum requirements. The minimum age for participants is 7 years.
